The popcorn sale not only builds leadership, confidence, and fun; but it allows a Scout to learn the value of earning his own way. That's right, pay for camp and those overnight events with the popcorn sale, and have fun while earning prizes along the way. Remember, 70% of the funds from popcorn go directly to local Scouts to help fund their activities. Click the link for more details!
The Peace Light from Bethlehem is a continuously-burning flame, originating from the Grotto of the Nativity in Bethlehem, Israel. Each December, Scouts around the world are challenged to help the flame reach as many people as possible, while reminding the public that we can all be channels of peace through our words and actions.
The SCOUTStrong Presidential Active Lifestyle Award Challenge will help you add activity to your life, and reward you when you do! This challenge is for everyone associated with the Boy Scouts of America, including Scouts, Venturers, Parents, Volunteers, Council Staff, Board Members, Friends of Scouting, and BSA Alumni.
The pinewood derby is one of the most popular and successful family activities in Cub Scouting. Pinewood derby cars are small wooden models that Cub Scouts make with help from their families. Then they race the cars in competition. The cars are powered by gravity and run down a track. Every boy can design and build his own "grand prix" car to enter in the race.
Blue and Gold
The blue and gold banquet is to celebrate the birthday of Scouting, thank pack leaders and other adults who have helped the pack, and inspire the leaders, Scouts, and parents. We have formal recognition ceremony for those Scouts receiving their rank badge, as well as den skits/songs. We encourage you to invite immediate and extended family!
