Automatic Event Reminders

Good afternoon!

I wanted to share a little tool with all of you.  With a few steps, you can get automatic email/text reminders of upcoming events.  Follow the steps below.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

This feature requires a Google account.  If you do not have a Google account, please sign up for one (free) before continuing.  You do not need to change email addresses, or create a @gmail address.  When signing up for a Google account, just use your current email address instead of checking the box to create a new one.

-  Log into Google Account

-  Go to Pack 72 website calendar page  https://sites.google.com/site/pack72orwell/pack-page/calendar

-  In the bottom right corner of calendar block, click the +Google Calendar button.  This opens the Google Calendar window.  A box should pop up asking if you would like to add the following Calendars to your Calendar (lists the different calendars)

- click "add" next to the calendar(s) you wish to add - I would recommend your Den Calendar and the Cubmaster Calendar to start.
      Note:  Den 5 (Tigers), Den 4 (Wolf), Den 3 (Bear), Den 2 (Webelos I), Den 1 (Webelos II), Cubmaster (pack events), Training (training events)

- Now, all the events for the calendar(s) you selected will show up on your Calendar.  You can sync your calendar with your smart phone, or other devices.  You can also go in to the settings for your calendar and setup automatic notifications to email/text you about upcoming events.
