Cub Scout Pack 72

About Pack 72

Welcome to Pack 72 and a fun new year of Scouting. Whether you are a new to Scouting or are returning we can’t wait to make this year a quality experience for you and your Scout. We put this document together to help you get the most out of your time in Scouting. Please take a moment to read through it and familiarize yourself with our Pack.

Our Pack operates not unlike most; the boys are grouped together by age in Dens. The Dens are then grouped together to form the Pack. We usually meet on the second and third Thursday each month for Den meeting, and then have a Pack meeting on the fourth Thursday of the month. We also have monthly events that we do together as a Pack. These events you will find listed in the calendar later in this handbook.

Our Dens are led by one of more parents. We also encourage all the parents to assist the Den Leaders however, they can. It’s a good idea to participate in the Den meeting with your son. Not only will you get to know the other parents, but your involvement in your son’s life is paramount.

The Pack events are family events and we welcome all siblings, parents, grandparents, and scouts to the events. We hold the events to give your son opportunities for fun, fellowship, and advancement. They also offer a time for you to interact with your son and unplug from the hustle and bustle of life.

There are also several times a year that the Scout District will hold events. Some of these events we participate in as a Pack others are optional for you and your son. A few of these events are designed for the Scout and parents, other are designed for the whole family.

Our Pack is chartered by Evangel Presbyterian Church and is managed by our Pack Committee. The committee is made up of parents of registered Scouts. We welcome any parent who has interest in joining the committee. Please review the organizational chart later in the handbook to see what positions are available.
